The Sources.Source / Citation Target section is used to highlight citation list entries and source list entries when they are the target of a link. You can see an example of highlighting the target of a source link on the demonstration site.

The default Source / Citation Target settings do not change the appearance of the target source list or citation list entry. You must change one or more of the parameters to alter the styling and highlight the target item.

When a visitor clicks a citation reference (the superscripted number after tag output on person pages), the browser will scroll the page so the chosen citation list entry list is visible, and the properties in this section will be applied to the chosen element only.

When a visitor clicks a source number link that begins a citation list item, the browser will open the appropriate source page and scroll the page so the chosen source list entry is visible, and the properties in this section will be applied to the chosen element only.

In both cases, you may use a different background color, text color, etc., to visually highlight the chosen item.
